LONG WALK TO THE MOMENT OF RECKONING – HEADING DOWN THE PATHWAY TO INSPECTION BY DQPS AND VMOS

SHELBYVILLE, TN – All must make this walk to the inspection area. The horse gets swabbed, then a retinal scan, walk the cones and finally digital palpation and possibly hoof tested.

THE WALK TO THE INSPECTION AREA

So far this year, the inspections have been for real.

Ask HONORS – Larry Edwards or A BRUCE PEARL – Jimmy McConnell.

Nephew Eugene said this morning he was going to eat breakfast with one of his barn help buddies, but he didn’t show up down at the Huddle House. Eugene done come to find out that his bosses, two brothers from Georgia, done loaded up all their stock and were last seen headed back to Albany.

So far tonight, the show is going pretty good.

One ladies class was split with about 15 in each division.

The Amateur Ladies on Walking Stallions had about 25 horses in the ring.

It looked like the old days.

The Four Year class had some deep Mammy Hoppers, and unfortunately, they looked like the old days, too.

“I Am Jose” with Casey Wright won the class. I believe that “hunched over” Callaway boy was reserve.

Stay tuned.

  1. So sorry to hear that the numbers are up for the Sore Lickers. Those peope totally disgust me. They are totally obliviopus to the pain ad suffering they are causing all for the sake of a ribbon that costs a couble of bucks to make.

I have always HATED the ladies classes with those inept amature riders with big hair and faces painted up like clowns with fake smiles pasted across their faces and death grips on their horses’ reins.

They just ‘love” their “widdle horsies,” but most of the time leave them in the hands of the “trainers,” and just show up to practice ride and for shows. They spend more time partying, shopping and drinking than they spend with their horses. Real horsewomen would not be caught dead in their company, dahlin’.
