Below are some examples of the support that Pat is receiving for taking the initiative and making it possible for the TWHBEA members to speak on HR 1518/S.1406.
Please let the Executive Committee hear from you.

Subject: Member poll
Dear Executive Committee,
I was very pleased to see the postcard that arrived today from Ms. Stout. We are cheering loudly out here in my region. Giving the members a chance to weigh in on the PAST legislation will increase the loyalty of those members who feel they have been ignored in the past and will draw in new members who have not joined because they felt they would have no voice.
How wonderful that this mailing was done at no cost to TWHBEA! Our organization has been paralyzed on several important issues, unable to move forward for several years, because the cost of Bylaws changes has been viewed as prohibitive. This polling tool is a great way to seek member input without the high costs of a Bylaws vote.
To those who are grumbling loudly about this, I ask you “What are you so afraid of?” Letting the members speak on this very important question is a win for all. Seeking the will of the members is long overdue at TWHBEA. Let the members decide!
If this type of polling proves to be a useful tool, perhaps this method can be used again in the future to answer other important questions as they arise. Position statements of an organization backed by solid member poll results have a lot of integrity.
Thank you, Pat!

I am very proud of Mrs. Stout for showing the intestinal fortitude and stepping
up as Horse Shows VP of TWHBEA to finally poll our membership on the issue of HR
1518/S 1406 the PAST Act. The precsedent was set in 2012, with Mr. Boyd as Horse
Shows VP for polling the membership on the previous Whitfield Bill.
Bravo, Mrs. Stout. You are ahead of your time, and a hero to many thousands of
members. You truly represent the members at large, and I am proud to have served
with you. You have placed your fiduciary obligation above your own personal gain
and interest which has been very rare within past and present Executive
Committees at TWHBEA during the time I served from 2007-2013. You have displayed
true leadership in its purest form, and I congratulate you.
All the best,
