LEWISBURG, TN – The Tennessee Walking Horse Association members met today at the TWHBEA building on Ellington Parkway, for maybe the last time at that location. It is strongly speculated that the building will be sold in 2014, and the registry will most likely downsize.
There was a restless unruly group of Big Lickers at the meeting in a flashback
to September 27, 2013, when a Licker lynch mob showed up to take care of Pat Stout. Those present today demanded an explanation regarding the TWHBEA Executive Committee’s decision to dismiss all actions against Pat Stout related to the HR 1518/S1406 Poll in which 63% of the TWHBEA members voted landslide in favor of the PAST act which will remove the pads and chains, eliminate the corrupt HIO system and make horse soring a federal felony.
One observer commented “What a bunch of catty shrews“.
Unlike his predecessor departed Lloyd Black, TWHBEA President Rob Cornelius
rose to the occasion and demonstrated leadership in handling the unruly Lickers telling them that the matter was decided in executive session, it would not be the subject of scrutiny and review, and the matter was closed.
Big Licker Steve Smith, Senator Alexander’s $3 million man was not present.
After the Licker protestors were quelled by President Cornelius, people began smelling gas in the building and they were instructed to evacuate.
This is not a joke – it happened.
The gas company was called and they are trying to “fix” things so the heat of tomorrow’s meeting will not result in a combustion of the TWHBEA structure.
There were other reported happenings including Rick Wies from Montana making several points that didn’t sit well with some present.
Only at TWHBEA – and the main event is expected tomorrow.
