LEWISBURG, TN – In a move reminiscent of Titanic Captain Edward John Smith,
TWHBEA Captain Steve Smith
Captain Smith (Steve), has decided to stimulate business at TWHBEA by ordering the employees to go to five days a week and half a day on Saturday. Apparently, Smith’s plan is for the employees to work short hours over an extended number of days.
Captain Steve had a bad week when first U. S. Senator John Thune (R-SD), Republican
leadership honcho, co-sponsored S.1406, and then Equine Vet Dr. John Haffner’s irreproachable missive mea culpa with all the particulars on horse soring, Tennessee style, resonated throughout the land and around the world.
Haffner’s letter is a must read for all Congressmen and Senators, journalists and normal people, too.
So Captain Smith (Steve) felt he had to do something, so apparently, the deck chairs came to mind.
If Steve Smith wants to increase TWHBEA revenue, maybe he should deal with the elephant in the room – soring.
And the two grumpy old men in charge, Steve Smith and Walt Chism
need to stop pretending like its 1997.
