CORNERSVILLE, TN – A concerned citizen, Marvin from Cornersville, wants to have a word with King Steve Smith and Sir Walt Chism, De Facto Executive Director of TWHBEA. Marvin asks some questions:
ARE 2 INDIVIDUALS USING OUR NONPROFIT FOR THEIR PERSONAL AGENDA? IF SO, ARE THERE POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES?
Since December 7, 2013 when the new slate of Officers assumed control at TWHBEA it has become apparent to many that the wishes of the membership are being ignored, completely. The Annual Meeting on December 7 concluded in record-breaking time and with two resolutions passed so fast it would make one’s head swim. A pre-prepared resolution against H.R. 1518 and S. 1406 was quickly read and passed. Nobody in attendance had a chance to read it. In fact, it has yet to be published and if you ask for a copy, well?
Every action that President Smith and Sr. V.P. Chism take in the coming year will be QUESTIONABLE. Why? There will be a cloud of wonderment hanging over each and every action. Did they do this in the BEST INTEREST of TWHBEA? Or was it in the best interest of their PRE-PLANNED PERSONAL AGENDA?
Here’s a suggestion for Walt Chism since it appears you have taken over the duties of our Executive Director.
Why not go ahead and help fulfill Smith’s pledge to “get our organization on SOUND FOOTING, no pun intended”. SAVE TWHBEA OUR HIGHEST SALARY?
LET THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR GO. I’ve heard his name is Tracy Boyd, however I can find no contact information or even mention of him on our website. If you intend to do his job without compensation, LET HIM GO. He serves no purpose.
Historically our Executive Director has been in charge of day-to-day operations, an employee of TWHBEA who is accountable for his actions and subject to over-sight.
It appears to some that you apparent two self-servers work very hard to prevent others from exerting over-sight over your activities. Do your positions give the appearance of legitimacy? You have been enabled by many who do not aspire to preside over TWHBEA.
The members expect proper behavior from their leaders, however we all know that proper behavior may depend on each person’s conscience.
Eventually everyone is held accountable for their actions.
Your actions thus far remind me of the mother that said “my baby smells awful but I learned to live with it and do my parenting job”. I suggest you two acknowledge that there is a foul odor and deal with it.
Change the darn diaper on your baby!
Self-delusion is not advisable for the other board members either.
