STEVE SMITH & WALT CHISM FAIL TO PROVIDE TWHBEA DIRECTORS WITH BREED ASSOCIATION FINANCIAL REPORTS AS CONDITION OF THE BREED REGISTRY DETERIORATES – UNREST GROWS WITH SPECULATION ABOUT PLUMMETING MEMBERSHIP NUMBERS AND MARES NOT BEING BRED OR FOALS BEING REGISTERED AND NO HORSE SALES

LEWISBURG, TN – The Steve Smith/Walt Smith Administration has not provided the Directors of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders & Exhibitors any  normal Financial Reports since January 2014.

Unrest is growing in the Directors ranks due to the lack of transparency by Smith and Chism regarding the finances of the Association.

The person apparently overseeing the Association’s finances is VP Fiscal Affairs Christy Lantis.

According to the pitifully thin April edition of the Voice Magazine, the Smith & Chism regime has cash on hand of $373,000.00  down  33% or  $180,000.00  from the $553,000.00 what TWHBEA had on hand in March 2012.

Since taking office,  the furtive Smith & Chism  have maintained a veil of secrecy around the TWHBEA Board Room.  They have apparently spent most of their time plotting how to sustain the sore Big Lick while the Tennessee Walking Horse breed has been outcast from the equine world and the once proud breed association spirals downward.

The Steve Smith approach has been to forgo donuts and alter TWHBEA merchandise to try and hide the sore Big Lick image from the public.

TWHBEAMERCHANDISE01

So far,  Smith, Chism & Company have succeeded in incurring the ire of the American Veterinary Medical Association,  The American Equine Practitioners Association,  The United Equestrian Federation and The American Horse Council.

All of these powerful organizations are now lined up against  the sore Big Lick Smith & Chism regime in a big way.   They have staying power and long memories.

Last September,  TWHBEA had 6,950 members eligible to vote.

Informed observers believe that since September 2013,  TWHBEA is losing an average of  75-100 members a month, and that  TWHBEA ranks are now down to approximately 6,350 members and continuing to fall each week.

Early reports confirm that mares are being not bred,  and horses are not being registered or sold.

While running for TWHBEA President,  Steve Smith‘s words were:

STEVESMITHQUOTE

So far,  Steve “UR” Smith has smugly succeeded in presiding over a sinking ship, and not much else.  He’s learning it’s 2014, not 1997.

THE BIG LICK RACKET

THE BIG LICK RACKET

Smith and his pro  sore  Big Lick Executive Committed have acted against the WILL of  TWHBEA members who voted landslide 63% for passage of the PAST ACT last October.

In an effort to prop up the sore Big Lick,  Steve Smith, Walt Smith and the majority Horse of the Protection Act Citation folks on the Executive Committee support the Alexander/Blackburn BILLS TO ENABLE SORING.

The overwhelming majority of the TWHBEA members support the PAST ACT.
