NORTH CAROLINA U. S. SENATOR KAY HAGAN (D-NC) BECOMES U. S. SENATOR #54 TO BACK THE PAST ACT – NEED ONLY 4 MORE – 44 U.S. SENATORS UNCOMMITTED

WASHINGTON, DC  ““    U. S. Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC),    is now co-sponsoring the  PAST ACT  (Prevent All Soring Tactics Act).

KAYHAGAN02

Hagan burst on the political scene in 2008 when she upset the heavily favored incumbent U. S. Senator  Elizabeth Dole (R-NC).  Kay Hagan is the niece of former U. S. Senator Lawton Chiles (D-FL).  At one time she operated an elevator while working as an intern on Capitol Hill.

As reflected by The Map,  North Carolina is a Southern State where TWHBEA members were evenly split on the PAST ACT.

Every October,  Asheville, North Carolina features one of the biggest sore Big Lick Tennessee Walking Horse Shows in the United States.   Last year the Celebration’s 2013 World Grand Champion “I AM JOSE” was exhibited “Bad Image”.  The USDA was not present at the show.

North Carolina is the home of sore Big Lickers Tom Kakassy,  TWHBEA Executive Committee who once proclaimed “I Am A Proud HPA Violator”, and he says you do not have to sore TWH to achieve the Big Lick – that he’s seen it done many times.

It is also the home of Trainer BOYZ Chad Baumcom,  trainer of Walk Time Charlie who won the 2012 World Grand Championship.  Many of Baucom’s family members,  Eddie, Jeannette and Rhonda are on suspension for soring horses in violation of the Horse Protection Act.

North Carolina is also the home of Sound Horse advocate Judith Morgan Hughes who was one of the people,  along with many others   who made a difference in persistently contacting Senator Hagan and urging her to co-sponsor the Bill.

Only FOUR (4) more Senators in the Senate are needed to make the PAST ACT filibuster proof.
