Before being elected to the Senate,  Pat Toomey served three terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, 1999 – 2005.  He didn’t seek a fourth term due to a pledge he made when first running in 1998.

Toomey was elected to the Senate in 2010.

A Harvard graduate,  he serves on several important Committees including Chairman of the United States Senate Steering Committee, a Senate Republican Caucus.

He  becomes the  55th   United States Senator to back the  PAST ACT.

Informed sources say that the numbers are now there in the Senate to pass the PAST ACT once a few more details are worked out.

When you the 287 House Members and 55 U. S. Senators,   that’s 64% of the United States Congress.

Many people asked Senator Toomey to co-sponsor the PAST ACT.   One of those persons was this lady who is one of the organizers of the WALK ON WASHINGTON grassroots event under the umbrella of the ALL AMERICAN WALKING HORSE ALLIANCE.

It’s interesting to note that Senator Toomey turned his back on the pleas of fellow Republican Senators Lamar Alexander  (R-TN), Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Rand Paul (R-KY).
