WASHINGTON, DC – The inspirational “WALK ON WASHINGTON” rally in front of the U. S. Capitol last week created a significant band wagon effect, resulting in three more U. S. Representatives co-sponsoring the PAST ACT this week.
ALL of the credit goes to the “WOW” Volunteers who converged on Washington with passion and on a mission. These determined folks (mostly ladies) rolled up their sleeves and went to work in the old-fashioned American way.
Jumping on the PAST ACT VICTORY TRAIN are a Republican and a Democrat and a New Progressive.
DAVID SCHWEIKERT(R-AZ) – becomes Republican #110. Only eight more are needed to meet the requirements of the unwritten “Hastert Rule”. Elected in 2010. the 52 year old represents the Phoenix area.
MAXINE WATERS (D-CA) – is a fiery 76 year old liberal Democrat who represents parts of the Los Angeles area. Serving in Congress for 24 years, Waters is a former Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus.
PEDRO PIERLUISI (NP-PR) – The 55-year-old Puerto Rican was educated at Tulane University and George Washington University School of Law.
Nephew Eugene believes he just might – just maybe – hear that train a comin’.
More on this in days to come.
