THETA, TN – Dutch is a Tennessee Walking Horse.
And a well bred one at that.
He is beautiful – highly intelligent – gentle temperament.
Most of all, Dutch is kind.
KELLY SMITH – DUTCH’S CARETAKER – OMEGA HORSE RESCUE
Kelly tells Dutch’s story from June 18, 2013 when she first received him until June 18, 2014, the date of the historic “WALK ON WASHINGTON” organized by the All American Walking Horse Alliance.
Below are pictures of former U.S. Senator Joseph Tydings with two abused scarred sore Big Lick Tennessee Walking Horses – 44 YEARS APART. On the left is Papa Charcoal, an abused scarred Tennessee Walking Horse rescued by the American Horse Protection Association in 1969. On the right, 44 years later, is Dutch – an abused scarred Tennessee Walking Horse rescued by an individual with money provided by The Humane Society of the United States.
Nephew Eugene knows that Dutch is a Tennessee Walking Horse. Dutch’s neck comes out of his shoulder just right and, when he moves, he rolls out of his shoulders just like you want a good Tennessee Walking Horse to do.
Dutch was a Show Horse with a “Look At Me” presence, but it was all dulled by the pain and abuse that he suffered while being trained to do the sore Big Lick.
He ended up scarred and abused, and then thrown away like a used chewing gum wrapper.
Dutch was on his way to a killer sale when he was first spotted. Then he was rescued by determined people who would not let him meet that fate.
When Dutch’s identity is confirmed, Nephew Eugene is convinced that Dutch’s pedigree is going to be filled with the names of World Champions and World Grand Champions.
All of them crowned at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration.
Yet when The Tennessean reporter Heidi Hall approached the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration CEO Mike Inman last week for a comment, rather than Mr. Inman expressing compassion for Dutch and what has been done to him by people training the sore Big Lick, Celebration CEO Mike Inman totally disrespected Dutch, and questioned his lineage and what had been done to him.
Shame on Mike Inman.
CELEBRATION CEO MIKE INMAN HPA VIOLATION CITATION HISTORY
And shame on the people that Mike Inman works for and who would allow him to make such an outrageous insensitive remark.
What kind of people are these who would do this?

According to The Tennessean/USA TODAY reporter Heidi Hall,
Tennessee Walking Horse ‘Dutch’ saved from slaughter
Celebration CEO Mike Inman said he was baffled why the media would pay any attention to Dutch. He suggested Dutch isn’t even a walking horse “” that he’s some other breed that the Humane Society put tall shoes on as a publicity stunt.
“It could be a a fabrication to raise more money and cause more controversy,” Inman said. “There’s no credibility.”

The world wants to know Dutch’s story.
The world needs to know Dutch’s story.
And Dutch needs his name cleared. This noble kind horse is not, in the words of Celebration CEO Mike Inman, “a publicity stunt”.
Who is he?
If Dutch could talk, he would tell us, but he can’t.
There are people who know exactly who Dutch is and can speak for him.
The people who hurt him know – but no one expects them to come forward.
The people who inspected him know.
The people who saw him show know.
The people in the barn where Dutch was located know.
It’s time for someone to come forward and tell Dutch’s story.
So here is what we know about Dutch so far:
“In June of 2013, this Tennessee Walking Horse was peddled at a livestock auction in Kentucky with visibly scarred fetlocks and wearing stacks that are used on “Big Lick” Walking horses. He was quickly bought by a horse trader and transported to a livestock auction in Tennessee. From there he was sold again, and shipped to the New Holland auction in Pennsylvania.”

PENNSYLVANIA “DUTCH” COUNTRY MAP – NEW HOLLAND PENNSYLVANIA
HERE ARE THE USDA “7060” LETTERS OF WARNING
$1,000.00 is waiting for the person who can positively provide Dutch’s identity and tell who he is.
