The reason “Big Lick” Horses are not kept on the Maury County Park Show Grounds where there are permanent barns is Aggravated Cruelty to Tennessee Walking Horses is now a felony. The Trainer Boyz can’t afford to get caught on public property with a “SORED” horse. The “SORING” necessary for creating the “Big Lick” and getting the horses ready for the shows is now done on private property.
Nephew Eugene says that on Saturday night, 15 of 18 Classes will feature the Animal Cruelty of the “Big Lick” Tennessee Walking Horses. If the Lickers thought Friday was a “Drive Down Maury County Park Drive” to the chants of “BIG LICK, BIG LIE, BIG LICK, BIG LIE, BIG LICK, BIG LIE” they’ll never forget what’s in store for them on Saturday night.
