“2015 CITIZENS INITIATIVE AGAINST ANIMAL CRUELTY OF “BIG LICK” TWH
Now, you can add Columbia, Tennessee last week to the string of triumphs.
On Thursday , the following ad was published in the The Daily Herald newspaper by “Concerned Citizens Against Soring” thanking Columbia and Maury County for “BOYCOTTING” TWH Animal Cruelty at the Columbia Spring Jubilee.
“Big Lickers” are now in an uproar over an imagined “record crowd” at the Saturday night Horse Show. In falsely proclaiming same, Columbia Spring Jubilee Horse Show Manager Mr. David Sisk exemplified the “Big Lick” mantra of “Big Lick, Big Lie”.
DAVID SISK’S “BIG LICK, BIG LIES”:
MR. SISK – “… interest from fans and competitors was at a 10-year high” – See more at: http://columbiadailyherald.com/news/local-news/organizer-lauds-success-despite-animal-rights-protest#sthash.SZ85G0mD.dpuf
TRUTH: Less than 400 people were present on Saturday night, approximately 250-300 on Friday and less than 200 on Thursday.
MR. SISK – “We love Tennessee Walking Horses, and we support local nonprofits every year with our proceeds,” Sisk said. “This year, we have committed $5,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Maury County, and we are presenting a $1,000 check for the Future Farmers of America scholarship. – See more at: http://columbiadailyherald.com/news/local-news/organizer-lauds-success-despite-animal-rights-protest#sthash.SZ85G0mD.dpuf
TRUTH: In 2014, the Columbia Spring Jubilee gave all of its profit* $7,500.00 to preserve the Animal Cruelty of the Big Lick Tennessee Walking Horses. Here, former Big Lick Trainer Carl Bledsoe, explains the cruelty 5HQ5 Trainers practice to create the “Big Lick”. If Mr. Sisk and company “love” Tennessee Walking Horses, why are they soring them??? (*$1,000.00 allegedly for scholarships)
MR. SISK – “the protestors have a right to demonstrate but had no impact on the show, in his opinion. They did not affect us at all,” Sisk said. “They are a group of radical voices who do not represent the mainstream thinking of our sport.” See more at: http://columbiadailyherald.com/news/local-news/organizer-lauds-success-despite-animal-rights-protest#sthash.SZ85G0mD.dpuf
THE TRUTH – Mr. Sisk might be interested to know that the citizen protestors he demeaned as “radical voices, range in age from 10 to 70+, and included a librarian at a state university, two local high school students, a local real estate firm employee, a school teacher, a chemical engineer, a truck driver, a life insurance executive, a graphic designer to name a few. He was correct that the citizens protestors do not represent the mainstream of what he calls a “sport” which is nothing more than rank Animal Cruelty in the name of recreation and family entertainment.
Here is what the noted SPORTSwriter David Climer (The Tennessean) said about the “Big Lick” being a “Sport”: “For years, many of those involved in the Tennessee walking horse industry have yearned for its competitions to be taken seriously as a legitimate sport. Blood sport, yes. Legitimate sport, no. Sorry, but I’m calling horse excrement. Soring is still in common practice, and everybody knows it. David Climer – The Tennessean Sportswriter”
Here is the Official Warning from the USDA to Mr. David Sisk regarding Mr. Sisk’s “DJ’s Jazzy Jeff” found to be SORE in 2013 by USDA inspectors.

PHOTOGRAPHIC PROOF COLUMBIA/MAURY COUNTY BOYCOTTED CSJ SHOW
Here are pictures which show that the Licker Addicts congregated in the Northwest turn next to the concession stand and the Southeast turn in an attempt to make it appear that there were lots of people present. There are approximately 150 persons in the NW turn and approximately 40 persons in the SE turn.

ABOUT 40 “LICKERS” – CONGREGATED IN SOUTHEAST CORNER
Virtually all persons present on Saturday Night, May 30, were “LICKERS” (please note lady in foreground dressed ready to exhibit a horse.)
There “might have been” 400 persons present at the Columbia Spring Jubilee on Saturday, May 30, 2015, with 200-300 on Friday and 100-200 on Thursday/
The proof that the public has turned its back on the “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty in 2015 is evidenced in these photos:
CELEBRATION’S SPRING FUN SHOW – SHELBYVILLE, TN MAY 23, 2015
GULF COAST CHARITY HORSE SHOW – COLUMBIA, TN APRIL 25, 2015
NATIONAL TRAINERS SHOW – DECATUR, ALABAMA – APRIL 4, 2015
MISSISSIPPI CHARITY HORSE SHOW – JACKSON, MS – MARCH 26/28, 2015
Mr. David Sisk’s last “Big Lick, Big Lie” he told The Daily Herald newspaper Editor Mr. James Bennett was, “Yes, we have had problems in the past, but we are addressing them.”
Mr. Sisk, in the “not too distant past” on May 21 – 22, 2015, over at Shelbyville, Tennessee, the USDA vets inspected 66 Tennessee Walking Horses at the Celebration’s Fun Show, and disqualified 14 of them being “SORE”.
That is over 21% SORE, Mr. Sisk.
Mr. Sisk, at least you can be proud that your alma mater, the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), severed ties with the Animal Cruelty of the “Big Lick” Tennessee Walking Horse in six short days from the time this Change.Org Petition put the matter at issue:
