COLUMBIA, TN – On Monday, June 22, 2015, Ms. Brenda Lamb from Murfreesboro, Tennessee received the following “Incident Report” which lists Aggravated Assault as the offense which allegedly occurred against her on Monday, June 22, 2015, when “Big Lick” supporter Andrew M. “Mike” Graves, Jr. apparently deliberately drove a truck at Ms Lamb. (The postmark on the envelope containing the “Incident Report” evidences that it was mailed by Maury County Sheriff Bucky Rowland on June 17, 2015.)
When Mr. Mike Graves pulled on to Maury County Park Drive on the way to the Columbia Spring Jubilee Horse Show, he saw these signs facing him. They didn’t sit well with him.
And then Mr. Graves saw Ms. Brenda Lamb standing among the signs (wearing one herself) protesting against the Animal Cruelty of the “Big Lick” Tennessee Walking Horse which Mr. Graves and his wife, Tina, and their children, so much enjoy. The Mike and Tina Graves family has enjoyed and shown “Big Lick” Tennessee Walking Horses for many years
Mr. Mike Graves apparently deliberately aimed the Ford F150 pickup truck he was driving, and put the right tire of the truck on the grass going right at Ms. Lamb, putting her life in peril. At the last second, Mr. Graves jerked the truck away from Ms. Lamb to avoid hitting her.
Maury County Deputy Sheriff Andy Jackson witnessed it all.
Instead of taking Mr. Mike Graves to jail, and booking him for a felony, Aggravated Assault, Deputy Jackson stopped Mr. Graves, and they had a little talk, then Mr. Graves went right on to the Columbia Spring Jubilee Horse Show to watch his wife Tina Graves show “Strong Willed Lady” in class 37 – Amateurs Two Year Old – Mares & Geldings.
This “Incident Report” prepared by Maury County Deputy Sheriff Deputy Andy Jackson said that he saw a truck (not pulling a trailer) proceed West “cutting into the grass” where Ms. Brenda Lamb was standing on the shoulder of the road (Maury County Park Drive), and then swerving back hard the other way. He said Ms. Lamb yelled real loud, and that he didn’t see exactly how close the truck came to her. Deputy Jackson reported that he and Columbia P.D. officers stopped the truck, and the driver Andrew M. “Mike” Graves of Bell Buckle, Bedford County, Tennessee said “he was not trying to hit her”.
Eye witnesses said the incident involving Brenda Lamb occurred not long after the alleged attack by “Big Lick” Trainer Jamie Lawrence against Ms. Teresa Bippen who was also peacefully protesting “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty from the shoulder of the road.
