SHELBYVILLE, TN – Mr. Jamey Russell Thompson, employed by Mr. Russ Thompson Stables of 2417 Midland Road, Shelbyville, Tennessee, was taken into custody at 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, by Bedford County Deputy Sheriff S. Mills on an Assault warrant set out below
Mr. Thompson allegedly committed an Assault against a news reporter for www.billygoboy.com shortly after 6:10 p.m., on July 28, 2016, in Wartrace, Bedford County, Tennessee in front of the Tennessee Walking Horse National Museum/Wartrace Town Hall.

Mr. Thompson was released from the Bedford County custody on his own recognizance at 4:58 p.m. on August 2, 2016. His case has been set for 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, in General Sessions Court in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
Mr. Thompson is employed as a “Big Lick” Tennessee Walking Horse trainer, and is a member of the Walking Horse Trainers Association. According to The Walking Horse Report publication, Mr. Jamey R. Thompson was sanctioned by the Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration S.H.O.W, Inc. Horse Industry Organization (HIO) inspection program in 2010 for “Conduct Violations” with a ban of one year which would include the 2011 Celebration. S.H.O.W., Inc. didn’t follow through with the sanction as set out below.
