AVMA/AAEP Follows Lead Of Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty In Opposing 60 Day Extension For Approval of Federal Regulation To Abolish “Big LIck” Animal Cruelty

RIVERDALE, MD –  The 88,000 member AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and the AAEP (American Association of Equine Practitioners) joined the CCABLAC (Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty) on August 26, 2016, in opposing a 60 day extension of the “Comment” period for the “Proposed Regulation” to the Horse Protection Act which will abolish “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty.

The AVMA CEO Dr. Ron Dehaven accused the “Big Lick” Racket of trying to “stall implementation of the rule”, and that it is “past time” for it to happen.”
