ASHEVILLE, NC – Former UT Vet College Dean Michael Blackwell, DVM, upon observing the www.billygoboy.com video of “Hello Bombshell”, (three-year old mare ridden on Friday, October 7, 2016, exhibited by Ms. Lucky Collins of Wartrace, Tennessee) at the North Carolina Horse Show held at the Western North Carolina Agricultural Center, said:
“This horse is obviously uneasy and appears to be in pain. It is unconscionable that someone would intentionally inflict pain in order to force an unnatural gait. The USDA’s proposed rule will go a long way toward preventing the cruelty.”*
The www.billygoboy.com video taken by a brave dedicated CCABLAC animal welfare advocate clearly shows that septuagenarian long-time “Big Lick” Exhibitor, Ms. Lucky Collins of Wartrace, TN) had a close call with death when an obviously distressed “Hello Bombshell”, with trembling back legs reared straight up, and Ms. Collins fell backwards, and landed on the ground with substantial impact.
Fortunately, Ms. Collins did not suffer a severe head injury from hitting the rail, nor was she struck by “Hello Bombshell’s” rear legs.
Ms. Collins reportedly suffered a slight tailbone fracture from the fall. but said she expected to be back in the saddle for the Celebration’s Tunica Fall Classic Horse Show, Nov. 3 – 5, 2016, in Tunica, Mississippi.
Ms. Lucky Collins is no rookie rider. Over the past 35 years, she has conservatively shown “Big Lick” Tennessee Walking Horses approximately 1,000 – 2,000 times, maybe more. In 2016, she has paid advertising on a string of three “Big Lick” Tennessee Walking Horses.
On August 31, 2016, “Hello Bombshell” won Division A of the Amateur Three Year Old Mare and Gelding class at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Pictured below (left to right) are Mr. Don Collins, unidentified lady, Trainer Mr. Hayden Burks, Ms Lucky Collins, three unidentified individuals, Trainer Mr. Danny Burks, unidentified female.
Following the Celebration, “Hello Bombshell‘s” next stop was the largest “Big Lick” show in the country next to the annual Celebration in Shelbyville, Tennessee – the North Carolina Championship Horse Show held in Asheville, North Carolina.

Nephew Eugene says the www.billygoboy.com video taken by a CCABLAC (Citizens Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty) dedicated animal welfare advocate of World Champion Three Year Old “Big Lick” mare “Hello Bombshell” could very well be the “Smoking Gun” which will generate public outrage, and propel U. S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack’s proposed Regulation to abolish the “Big Lick” to final approval.
The “Smoking Gun” video appears to be irrefutable evidence that the “Blg Lick” fable:
“You will never see this kind of horse in the show ring in 2016”
is simply another “Big Lick, Big Lie”.
Nephew Eugene says that the video taken at 7:08 p.m., on October 7, 2016, of TWHNC World Champion “Hello Bombshell” at the Western North Carolina Agricultural Center in Asheville, North Carolina tells you just about all you need to know.
