NEW YORK, NEW YORK (c) – Noted Equine/Human Chiropractor Dr. Jay Komarek on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, declined to accept the Equus Film Festival Award for “Best Documentary” Film citing Equus Film Festival organizer Ms. Lisa Diersen for accepting money from two corporate sponsors, “Protect The Harvest” and “Farm Paint”, as his reason for doing so. The sponsor’s principals are Mr. Forrest Lucas (“Protect The Harvest) and Mr. Duke Thorson (Farm Paint and Thorsport Farm).
Dr. Jay Komarek said, “We will in no way be associated with the abuse of any animal. Our film is about a horse that has been abused and its rehabilitation. We will in no way be associated with the abuse of any animal”.
The published “ultimate goal” of Equus Film Festival founder Ms. Lisa Diersen is “to create a better world for horses”.
Nephew Eugene says that “murdering horses” and “soring horses” definitely doesn’t “create a better world for horses”.
CONTROVERSIAL SPONSORS – “BIG LICK” & “HORSE SLAUGHTER“
- “Farm Paint” owned by Mr. Duke Thorson, proprietor of Thorsport Farm which was the subject of a 2015 undercover investigation by the Humane Society of the United States:
- “Protect The Harvest” founded by Mr. Forrest Lucas, proponent of horse slaughter, circus elephants, and against regulation of puppy mills in Missouri.
The feature film – “Life Adjusted” – is directed by Mr. Sean Nipper of Southern Oregon. It is “a visual and sentimental portrayal of the subtle, yet profound experience of receiving Chiropractic care from both a human and animal perspective, thus revealing the innate intelligence within all of us.” It features the life of Human/Equine Chiropractor Dr. Jay Komarek;
“Protect The Harvest” is a PAC (Political Action Committee) founded by multi-millionaire Mr. Forrest Lucas. “Protect The Harvest” favors slaughtering thousands of wild horses, continuing circus elephants and opposes regulation of puppy mills in Missouri.

Panel Moderator Ms. Candace Wade and EFF Official Ms. Diana De Rosa apparently colluded in an attempt to censor and suppress panelist CCABLAC panelist Mr. Clant M. Seay from showing the “Pads and Chains” necessary for “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty. Earlier the event organizers requested Mr. Seay to provide them, and he agreed to do shipping them to NYC.

Nephew Eugene says the back bench hand-wringing bio-mechanic jibber jabber wonks who are worried about what the bullying horse murdering crowd at “Protect The Harvest” might do regarding the fight against ending “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty need to go and find another pursuit because their dysfunctional whining has long since become wearisome and unproductive. And to watch those needy folks who “suck up” to Big Licker Mr. ‘Duke’ Thorson is nauseating.
Nephew Eugene also says if Ms. Lisa Diersen ever expects Equus Film Festival to have any credibility going forward, she needs to immediately get rid of “Protect The Harvest” and “Farm Paint” as event sponsors.
CCABLAC (Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick Animal Cruelty) and all of the people who love “The Horses”, all owe Dr. Jay Komarek a standing ovation.
