Front Page Story – The Tennessean Newspaper – “Horse soring critics: Grant to industry group would ‘perpetuate cruelty’ – December 24, 2016

NASHVILLE, TN  – The front page of today’s The Tennessean newspaper featured CCABLAC’s (Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty) animal welfare advocates delivering a Change.Org Petition – “Don’t Spend ONE DIME of Tennessee Taxpayers Money To Perpetuate “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty” – to Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and Tennessee Agriculture Commissioner Mr. Jai Templeton.

In The Tennessean article,   CCABLAC (Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty), and FOSH (Friends of Sound Horses)  spoke on behalf of the “The Horses” who cannot speak for themselves.

“The Tennessee walking horse has put Tennessee on the global equine map for two reasons: it’s incredibly smooth ride and wonderful personality and because it is considered the most abused breed in the world,” said Teresa Bippen, president of the anti-soring group Friends of Sound Horses.

Ms. Teresa Bippen, President, FOSH (Friends of Sound Horses, Inc.)

“The state of Tennessee will own this if they give them that money,” said anti-soring activist Clant Seay, who has turned over a petition to Gov. Bill Haslam with more than 6,000 signatures opposing the grant to the breeders group. He said the grant would “perpetuate cruelty. This is badly wrong to support something the rest of the world has turned away from,” Seay said. “The answer to all of this is just to let the horse go natural.”

CCABLAC Animal Welfare Advocates “Making The Case” Against The State of Tennessee Providing Any State Funds To Give Legitimacy To “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty

FRONT PAGE STORY – DECEMBER 24, 2016

America’s two leading horse advocacy groups,  FOSH (Friends of Sound Horses),  and CCABLAC (Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty) again led the way in “Taking It To The Tennessee Capitol” in Nashville to speak for “The Horses” who cannot speak for themselves.

FOSH President Ms. Bippen and CCABLAC animal welfare advocate Mr. Clant M. Seay also spoke on behalf of “The Horses” at the disgraced Equus Film Festival in New York City.  EFF organizers sadly sold out to the pro-horse slaughter political action committee “Protect The Harvest” which was EFF “Presenting Sponsor”.

Neither FOSH nor CCABLAC provided any sponsorship money to the EFF.
