CCABLAC today congratulated Former U. S. Senator Joe Tydings (D-MD) at the storied National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on receiving the Humane Horseman Award.

The distinguished Honor was presented to Senator Tydings by representatives of Mr. Wayne Pacelle.  Mr. Pacelle”s animal welfare organization and CCABLAC (Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty) have each played key roles in the #LetsBackVilsack campaign in favor of the Federal Regulation (Rule) to abolish “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty being approved.

In 2014, Senator Tydings appeared with CCABLAC animal welfare advocate before the Editorial Board of The Tennessean newspaper urging passage of the PAST (Prevent All Soring Tactics) Act to eliminate “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty.

Senator Tydings was also invited by CCABLAC founder Clant M. Seay to speak at the historic “Walk On Washington” event in front of the U. S. Capitol on June 18, 2014.
