(Part I) CCABLAC ‘Takes Down’ Panama City Beach (FL) Horse Show (Featuring Animal Cruelty) Backed By “Big Lick” Multi-Millionaire Owner/Exhibitor

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL  –  “The wind was in our faces in 2016, but it was definitely at our backs this year”  said CCABLAC animal welfare advocate Clant M. Seay describing the successful 2017 Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty at the “Home Of The World’s Most Beautiful Beaches”.

“In politics, you can always tell when the people are with you.  And there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that “the people” were with us (CCABLAC)  this year in our campaign to end the “Big Lick” Horse Show featuring Animal Cruelty.”  Seay thanked the PCB – Bay County community for BOYCOTTING the 2017 Panama City Beach “Big Lick” Horse Show.

In 2016,   CCABLAC animal welfare advocates made numerous appearances at the PCB City Council Meetings, and the TDC/CVB (Bay County Tourist Development Council protesting the TDC/CVB agreeing to provide $25,000.00 Tourism Tax money to Horse Show Organizer Ms. Martha Blackmon Milligan to promote the “Big Lick” Horse Show at the PCB owned Frank Brown Park.

Due to the unfavorable publicity,   TDC/CVB CEO Mr. Dan Rowe has confirmed that the $25,000.00 was not paid.

Though a CCABLAC record request,   the Municipality of Panama City Beach,  Florida,  charged Ms. Milligan’s organization approximately $14,000.00 to rent the Frank Brown Park in 2017.  Additionally,  the City has provided Ms. Milligan that it will tear down the center ring gazebo and horse show fencing after the 2017 horse show.
