PART I – Columbia & Maury County Residents BOYCOTT “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty Horse Show At Maury County Park, June 1-3, 2017

COLUMBIA, TN –   Local citizens BOYCOTTED the 2017 Columbia Spring Jubilee Horse Show at Maury County Park (Columbia, TN) on June 1-3, 2017.

In years past, several thousand spectators would attend the 66 year old Columbia horse show – but not so any more.

EMPTY STANDS

Tennesseans have seen enough of the “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty, and they do not want any more to do with it.

This 2017 BillyGoBoy.Com video may, indeed,  be featured in the next DoDo Video.

The DoDo video – “Here’s What ‘Soring’ Does To Horses’  – has been viewed over 13 MILLION times.

The local horse show organizers (MCHA-Maury County Horsemans Association) weakly attempted to justify the “Big Lick” Horse Show by donating a modest amount of money to local charities.

CCABLAC (Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty)  dispelled that premise by running Ads in The Daily Herald (Columbia) newspaper, before and after,  the horse show, which stated:

 “Animal Cruelty Can Never Be Justified By Making A Charitable Donation”.

CCABLAC (Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty) animal welfare advocates protested outside the Horse Show:

BillyGoBoy.Com took videos inside the horse show,  and put them on the internet and social media for the world to see:

The free exercise of First Amendment rights by BillyGoBoy.Com and CCABLAC animal welfare advocates was ensured by Federal Court Order dated May 30, 2017, from the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Tennessee, Nashville, Tennessee:

In three days, only a handful of local citizens attended the Columbia “Big Lick” horse show.

Persons attending the horse show were:

  • Trainers,
  • Trainers employees or family;
  • Owners;
  • Owners friends and family.

At this point in time,  due to the relentless efforts of CCABLAC (Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty),    the  “Big Lick” is no longer marketable, and it never will be again.

The public has seen too much,  and they aren’t going back.

These persons were apparently missing from the 2017 Columbia Horse Show were

  • “Big Lick” Videographer Mr. Jerry W. Harris
  • Horse Show Manager Mr. David Sisk
  • “Big Lick” Multi-Millionaire Mr. Duke Thorson, Thorsport Farm
