SHELBYVILLE, TN – The relentless efforts of “WE, The People” – “Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty” (CCABLAC), have played a significant role in the cancellation of th”Largest Running” “Celebration Super Sale & Yearling Festival” set for Sep. 1st and 2nd. This news was first reported in The Walking Horse Report on July 20, 2017.
And CCABLAC is presently raising money to run this AD urging All Tennesseans to BOYCOTT the 2017 Tennessee Walking Horse Super Bowl (Aug. 24 – Sep. 2, 2017).
Photos like this have indelibly imprinted the public image of the “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty Racket – “A business built on the suffering and pain of horses,” according to MTSU Horse Science Professor Equine Vet Dr. John Haffner.
And undercover photos have let the public have an inside view of what goes on behind the curtains.
And in the show ring.
The Tennessee Walking Breed Registry (TWHBEA) under the leadership of Senior Vice President no longer makes public:
- Number of Members

Over 21,000 persons have now petitioned TWHBEA (Tennessee Walking Horse Breed Registry) for Sr.VP Mr. Charles Gleghorn to step down as a member of the TWHBEA Executive Committee and as an Association Director as required by the TWHBEA By-Laws.
