APRIL 2017 – PANAMA CITY BEACH “BIG LICK” HORSE SHOW – FRANK BROWN PARK
CCABLAC spokesperson Clant M. Seay said, “Mr. Jim Ponek, PCB Parks & Recreation Director, confirmed this week that there are no plans for a “Big Lick” Tennessee Walking Horse Show to be held at the Frank Brown Park in 2018. The center ring gazebo will also be removed.”
CCABLAC Spokesperson Seay said, “We applaud the leadership in Panama City Beach, FL who once they fully realized the harm that could result to their beautiful destination resort by being associated with Animal Cruelty, quietly and effectively took actions behind the scenes to end it”. They always listened attentively and I believe with our polite persistence we won them over. Everything was stacked against us when we began this effort in February 2016.”
CCABLAC ANIMAL WELFARE ADVOCATES – PCB CITY HALL
Seay gave full credit to the CCABLAC Animal Welfare Advocates who have come forward during the past two years and exerted pressure on the Panama City Beach City Council and Bay County-Panama City Beach Tourist Development Board to terminate the horse show, and protest the “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty.
“Their efforts convinced the community leaders that a destination tourist resort simply could no longer afford to host a Horse Show featuring Animal Cruelty to Tennessee Walking Horses (“Big Lick”). In 2016, USDA Vet Inspectors disqualified over 40% of the “Big Lick” Tennessee Walking Horses from showing due to their allegedly being in violation of the Horse Protection Act,” said Seay.

Objective Of CCABLAC (Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty
“CCABLAC’s goal is to deny the Animal Cruelty to Tennessee Walking Horses (“Big Lick”) legitimacy at places like beautiful destination tourist resort – Panama City Beach, FL.
Nephew Eugene says at one time there were two crown jewels of the “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty To Tennessee Walking Horses (“Big Lick”) World. One was the Mississippi Charity Horse Show in Jackson, Mississippi; and other was the “Gulf Coast Charity Trainers Show” in Panama City Beach, FL.
Both are now gone, thanks to CCABLAC, .
“Big Lick” Animal Cruelty has no future.
